Two benches were installed and there are ongoing community volunteer work parties to remove invasive species\, plant and maintain native plants. Volunteer efforts have been led by the local Happy Valley Neighborhood Association. Since the beginning of these restoration efforts and trail improvement in 2020\, the neighborhood has noticed an increase amount of people and wildlife using and enjoying the site.

Native plants have been planted at the site in a pollinator mound and hedgerow for the last four years to attract pollinators\, The site is a well-used urban wildlife habitat\, including ducks in the pond\, in addition to multiple species of birds.
